Website
Check out the website that I'm going to try to keep updated. I'm hoping that I'll do better with it than I have with the blog.

Website
Well I'm trying my hand at a website instead of a blog. We'll see how this works. I'm thinking a website might be a bit easier to manage, so there will hopefully be more updates? I hope everyone is having a GREAT summer!!!

Weather
We have been studying "Weather Instruments" in science this fall. While some people might think that this is a rather dry (yep, I meant that as a pun) subject for third graders, boy, oh boy did they get into it. We started each day checking out the NOAA weather conditions, and the forecast for the Missoula area. We would then graph this information. We learned about barometers, thermometers, Fahrenheit and Celsius temperatures, cloud types, wind speed and weather extremes. As an ending activity some of the kids made their own weather forecasts in conjunction with the story Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs. I will try to post these, they are pretty darn cute!!!

Open House?
Since I was at home with the stomach flu for open house, we are going to try something a little different. We are going to have a SHOW and TELL day!!! This will be a day when parents can come to our classroom and see what we do during a day. So... Next Tuesday, September 20, parents are invited to come to our class from 8:25 to 10:00 or from 1:30 to 2:55. Come for part of a time, the whole time whatever you can fit into your schedule. We will be having a regular day, so come prepared to be a third grader for a while!
If you can't come during the day, please feel free to stop in or call after school one afternoon next week, and we can visit.
